Jet Sigi Promodel

In 2012 and 2013 I got to redesign and tweak nearly the entire Jet lineup. And then it was time to design my new promodel with Jet. The board was supposed to be made of relatively thick veneers bonded with dry sheets of hot melt and various layers of uni directional carbon. The molds required for this production method are rather costly but the pace at which boards can be pressed is absolutely impressive.

The features of the standing platform evolved from the Airflow Fuse. The new production method at Jet offered a high degree of freedom on the board design. The bends are less sharp, the microdrops more pronounced and the board even has a bit of W-concave. Compared to the Fuse, my new promodel feels a lot more locked in.

Both a drop-through and top-mount version were planned. Unfortunately the board never made it past the prototype stage and was never commercially available.

The contours of the graphics are from my favorite mountain pass in Switzerland.
