Jumpa maze

This 2.5 x 2 x 2 meter prototype with six cells was created to get a better feel for the size, test the chosen steel connector and to learn more about the assembly. The panels have been CNC cut. But, at the time, the algorithm for the hole placement was not quite ready so I had to drill a couple hundred holes manually. The tightest squeeze measures 40 x 30 centimeters and it is tight. Unfortunately the norm for playground equipment does not allow such tight tunnels.

The panels were boxed by Egolf and sent from Switzerland to Malaysia by air freight. I set up the prototype in the Camp5 Jumpa climbing gym at the place where a much bigger maze is supposed to be built. One day, hopefully…

A paper model of the six cell prototype.
No steel connectors visible from the outside of the play structure.
Ø 450 mm entry / exit hole.
